At Saffire, we seek true hospitality professionals, dedicated to ensuring the ultimate in guest satisfaction. We are interested in the whole you - your combination of expert technical skills, leadership and team skills, and values and motivation that align with our vision.

We select with a focus on expertise in a primary function, such as Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Kitchens or Guiding, however our roles are not limited by our function. As true hospitality professionals, our roles are defined by our service orientation.

A little about the General Manager, Matt Casey

Matt's career began in 1990 at the Sheraton Hobart Hotel where at the age of 20 years old, he was one of the youngest full time Concierge staff in Australia. Matt moved abroad in 1996 and broadened his experience including 6 months as the Duty Manager at the renowned Westminster Hotel in London. Matt returned to Hobart as Front Office Manager at the then newly established, multi award winning Salamanca Inn and was quickly promoted to Assistant General Manager.

In December 2003 Matt joined The Henry Jones Art Hotel development as Operations Manager. By January 2005, Matt had moved into the role of General Manager. Since its opening 4 years ago, The Henry Jones has received international acclaim and more than 35 awards.

Matt is a passionate, dynamic and enthusiastic member of the Tasmanian Tourism community. He proudly supports the current direction of the major Tourism bodies in Tasmania and happily contributes to the development of like-minded individuals and business ventures within the state. Married to Gabriella in 2005, Matt enjoys a passion for surfing and fine food.
