Country Club Tasmania is Launceston’s premier entertainment precinct located just 10 minutes from the CBD. The property features a range of deluxe accommodation, four bars, five restaurants, a boutique casino, an 18-hole golf course and horse riding trails, all set on 125 hectares of bushland. It hosts a broad range of local, national and international acts across all music genres, plus a number of major annual events and conferences. Who do we employ?: Country Club Tasmania employs 500+ people across a diverse range of disciplines, from hospitality and gaming to administration, marketing and finance.

Most of our employment opportunities are in the following areas: Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Cleaning, Kitchens – Chefs, Cooks, and Kitchen Hands, Porters, Front Office, and Maintenance – Electricians, Gardeners, and Carpenters.

If you haven’t worked in these fields before, don’t worry - we hire people from all backgrounds with all manner of skills and experience, and provide the appropriate training and induction courses.

Country Club Tasmania also has roles in Finance/Accounting, Sales and Marketing, Customer Service, and Events Coordination. Occasionally we have entry-level opportunities in these areas although generally we seek those with existing skills and experience for specialised roles.
When do we employ?: Like most employers in hospitality and tourism, we have busy periods over the summer season. That doesn’t mean that we aren’t interested in hearing from people throughout the year - if we don’t have a vacancy you are interested in right now, we may have one in the future.
Working with us: As part of the Federal Group, all employees at Country Club Tasmania are eligible for a range of benefits including discounted accommodation rates at all of our properties across the State. At Country Club Tasmania we also provide uniforms and a full laundry service for most positions. All employees receive access to our canteen which provides a complimentary three course meal per shift, tea, coffee and snack bar. Although we do not offer employee accommodation, there are plenty of options close to the property and we are on a main bus route to/from the CBD and other suburbs. Secure employee parking is available on site, free of charge.

Most Country Club Tasmania employees working in our frontline positions are covered by an Enterprise Agreement that covers wage and working conditions. Due to the variety of possibilities, you will receive more details if you choose to apply for a position with us. Unless otherwise stated, positions with Country Club Tasmania can be rostered to work at the main property, or the Country Club Villas located less than 1km down the road. Employees can access transport between the two properties or use the secure employee parking supplied at Country Club Villas.
