- Who do we employ?
- First of all, if you haven’t worked in hospitality before – don’t worry! We employ people from all backgrounds and with all manner of skills and experience. Perhaps you’re looking for casual work while travelling or during a break in your studies. Maybe you want to build a career in hospitality or tourism and are keen to try a unique destination to do this. Or you may even want to try something completely different – either way the chances are we have what you’re after!
The majority of our positions are in Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Front Office/Retail, Chef/Cook, Kitchen, and Guides. We’re always interested to hear from people who are interested in the Lodge so if you want to work with us but don't believe you fit into one of the categories listed above, let us know!
Above all we are interested in those who possess a keen enthusiasm for service delivery, and enjoy customer-facing roles.
- When do we employ?
- All of our tourism properties operate year-round so if you are looking to develop or continue your career in hospitality/tourism, we may very well have the opportunity you're after.
Our peak season typically runs from October through to Easter, however winter doesn't mean we aren’t kept busy! So if you are looking for a short-term employment option while you are studying, travelling, or just for something different the odds are we can offer it.
If we don’t have a vacancy you are interested in right now, we may have one in a few months, weeks or days!

- All employees of Freycinet Lodge are eligible for a range of benefits, including discounted accommodation rates across Tasmania. We also provide uniforms.
Freycinet Lodge has two types of subsidised staff accommodation available. There is dormitory style on-site, which includes a lounge area. Alternatively 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom cottages are available approximately 20 minutes drive from the Lodge.
